Holiday Glass: Home

Introduction to library resources on glass used during the holidays. More information is available through the library catalog or by using the Rakow's Ask a Librarian service.

Introduction

Holidays give people the opportunity to celebrate or commemorate cultural, national, or religious events and traditions. These days often involve particular traditions or ceremonies, including special decorations, meals, and activities. Items made from glass appear in many of these traditions, from gravy boats and drinking glasses to strings of lights and ornaments.

The Rakow Research Library has resources for researchers, collectors, and anyone else interested in holiday glass. Use the tabs in this guide to navigate the resources, which are organized by holiday.
