Glassblowing techniques / Fusion Z, Inc by Healdsburg, CA : Fusion Z, IncCall Number: Glassblowing techniques. Record # 62188
Publication Date: 2005
Narrator gives good explanations of the techniques being
demonstrated.
A very good video demonstrating different glassblowing
techniques, used by glass artisans from the Czech
Republic. These artists, in collaboration with designers
and artists from Fusion Z, produce glass sculptures, and
other art glass forms. At the glass studio Aieta, you
watch as the glassblowers produce for the first time,
"The Lady Sculpture" (photo S65 in Fusion Z's catalog,
"Home accessories: mouth blown art glass, sculpture,
wall art, accent furniture, tabletop, lighting, custom
projects", BIB# 92198). At a different studio in
Moravia, glassblowers can be seen producing "Glass
Pepper" (photo S58 in the same catalog listed above).
After watching this piece being produced from beginning
to end, it falls from the punty and breaks on the floor.
