Mosaics: Videos

The work of Jane Muir, the leading artist working in mosaic in England in the 1990s. She uses glass, slate, marble, and stone in her designs. She demonstrates 4 ways to make mosaic panels in this video: direct setting, the reverse process (imbedded mosaics), use of glass cullet, (which is fused), and the use of found objects, such as metal. Also shown are her high relief panels, and the cartoon for the Milton Keynes mural and its creation. This is a detailed technique film, and not an introduction to mosaic panels.
